I have had dozens of pike on the savage gear suicide duck pike up to 26LB, you have to work the lure in different ways i remove the hook on the belly and attach my line on the second ring down from the beak this makes the lure sit higher in the water looks like a duck fleeing in distress pike go crazy for it as do all other predator fish i use the first ring in the warmer months especially when there are real ducklings on the water absolutely awesome lure in the summer months 1 of my favorite lures.Para

I've piked fished for over sixty years and have witnessed bad anglingl practise get markedly worse. Not only have unnecessary treble hooks got larger (little wonder that today's anglers lose so many fish), but internet instructers largely don't bother with landing nets and consequently abuse both fish and themselves manhandling catches. I've fished exclusively using single hooks for many decades (at least since the early 80s) and can't recall ever losing a fish or gut hooking one over the last forty years. I may soon go completely deadbait hookless and - in every case - simply cloak a deadbait with a fine net which every pike will struggle to get its teeth free from such. God bless pike, but not cruel and indifferent pike anglers.
