My mom just got a $50 gift card and it was redeemed. Walmart said they aren’t gonna refund because it was redeemed and apple said they can’t do nothing because it was redeemed. So basically they stole $50 dollars. Fucking bullshit. I’m pissed off

This happened to my husband and I tonight at Walmart! After speaking with Apple they determined that the number on the inside and outside of the card doesn’t match even though the packaging didn’t seem to be tampered with. They told us to go back to Walmart for a refund or replacement since we have the receipt. If this is an ongoing problem perhaps they need to lock them up behind the counter!!

Apple is well aware they’re selling hacked merchandise because it happened to me and I spoke with them. In other words, Apple is aware of it and said they know it’s hacked and that your tough luck. The store said they have been getting the same problem with other customers and they are going to discontinue selling them. So, buy at your own risk but I don’t recommend anyone buying them.

It’s not a scam if that error message pops up that means you can go spend it and you redeemed it successfully because it worked for me

I had the exact same thing on two $500 Apple gift cards, just like in the video, and am out $1000. Apple confirmed the card was linked to a fraudulent account in China, but that the funds were already depleted. I bought these at Walgreens and Walgreens said I have to go through Apple, and Apple says I need to work though Walgreens. Basically, nothing is happening. The cards were redeemed in less than 50 minutes. I was still in the car driving home when all this happened!

Why did you not taken it back to the store where your bought from even with receipt should went to bank and copy the date of purchase get a copy showing the date/store from.

Gift cards should be behind a counter, or a locked box. I am tired of people who scammed the cards. It is someone in the supply chain in your case is stealing from them. I wonder if the bar code has some information on the gift card code, and they are using a bar code reader. Thieves are sneaky jerks. I am going to move to putting money on my apple account through my bank.

just recently i got an amex gift card and the middle digits are long consisting of 6 numbers and when i try to buy something the numbers dont fit correctly do you know what to do?

They don’t reimburse you when they said they would reimburse my account then when I bought a new one and just cut my losses the same damn thing happened of numbers missing. It’s absolutely crap.

I bought 3 from target TODAY. Tried to redeem one in the parking lot with my iphone and it told me the card had already been claimed. I went right back in the store and they told me they couldn't do anything. Got given a number to call, it was target card support. They told me to call apple and they said go back to target. All three of the cards i got were no good. I think apple has some scammers working inside their company. Eventually they told me to take a picture of all the cards with the packages they came in and the reciept. That was an hour ago and am now waiting to hear back from them. Im never going to buy an apple card again unless they let me open it right there to make sure the long as seriel number on the outside of the package and the one on the card match.

I did all this and I have my receipt. Bought both gift cards at Walmart totaling $960.00. I will never buy another apple gift card again! Apple says it’s Walmarts fault and Walmart says it Apples Fault! Neither company will refund my money or tell me what’s wrong with the gift cards!

just got scammed the same way $25.00 at Kroger. ours said invalid code- Apple support said it was flagged as fraud - still wont refund
