It's a small thing, but Luz is from Connecticut, that is where Eda's portal door has always taken her, according to her, so that means that, at some point in the 90s, a theater somewhere in that state was showing Dragon Ball Z movies...what kind of town is Luz from? When I first saw Eda screaming and doing the pose as if she had aura around her I was like “This is definitely a Dragon Ball/Z reference” then Amity picks up the “Dragonclaw Z” dvd and I burst into laughter for a good 5 minutes😂😭. I love how Luz is such an otaku and that this show has quite a few otaku/anime culture references in it
