"Right up until we walked on stage, Michael was in tears, " Tim Farriss recalled years later. "Paula had just left the country quickly, something to do with custody of the children.

"All of a sudden, it was showtime. Michael had to wipe his eyes and go out there and sing Searching.

"It is one of the greatest performances we ever gave on television, " he continued. "It was totally live, and Michael sang with such emotion: 'I am searching, I am not alone.' It's still too heavy for me to look at, even today."

This is quite possibly Michael's greatest vocal performance. Just gives me goosebumps. Elegantly Wasted is a brilliant album that doesn't get enough praise.

I'm still left speechless....I've watched this performance dozens of times...I really just don't know what to say. I'm missing him more these days than when we lost him...I'm in my forties now. It's so insane to think I was still in my teens when they performed this. I cry every time I watch this..EVERY TIME. It will be clear tomorrow. But will it start again?
