I heard of a child who went to an emergency room with paralysis. Over the course of however long, the child was slowly continuing to decline. When all was said and done, they ended up finding 2 huge ticks behind the kid's ear. Once removed, the kid slowly improved and eventually got well again with full mobility. It's crazy how dangerous such small things can end up being.

I had transverse myelitis and it took a whole year, a bunch of test and physical therapy... just to get a diagnosis. I lost profound sensitivity on the left side of my body and lost strength on my left leg. It was sooo scary but my 85 year old neurologist had it very clear it was myelitis. I received 12 steroid injections in 6 days and in 3 months i was fully recovered.

Story time lol.

One time when I was young, my brother was getting sore all over his body. My parents thought it was just from fatigue, and just pushed it aside. A little later in the week, my brother started crying. He said that his body hurt, like a bruise over most of his body. My mother took him to the doctor, the doctor to the hospital. He apparently had a illness that weakened ( or ate away at?) his muscles (I don’t remember what it was called, nor exactly what it did.) He was there for quite a while as the doctors were having trouble figuring out what it was. I was horribly worried as he was just a couple years younger than me. He eventually got better and now he’s completely fine.

I know no one cares, I just wanted to share this story.
