LIVE: PRIME Minister Lizz Truss announces new measures to tackle soaring energy bills

Britain's new PM is today expected to freeze energy bills at around £2,500 to protect Brits from crippling price hikes in a bumper £150billion package.

The government is set to cap the wholesale cost of gas to stop families paying eye-watering sums to heat their homes this winter.

Bills had been set to rise to £3,000 in January before jumping to more than £6,000 in April.

So, here I am on target to spend nearly £2, 500 on my bills, after turning off one of my two fridge freezers and turn other appliances off. As the price is capped, I can now recommission my hot tub, if I had one, and blast up my outside heater and sit outside drinking my favourite tipple, and not have to worry about the cost. The freezers go back on and I don’t have to conserve anything. The heating can be turned up in the house too. And, those in super big houses they can also go for broke and turn their swimming pool back on, and all winter if they want because, they will not have to pay any extra for their indulgence. Is that how this is going to work? The poor will see their bills rise in their small houses but, the rich in their huge houses can spend spend spend, and stuff global warming? The rich gain, whilst the very poor suffer most? The global weather system heats up and our carbon footprint kicks all of humanity in the nuts. Doesn’t sound like a good plan to me, does it?

The way I understand this is the price cap would be from October £3500 but they have reduced this cap to £2500 which is payable by every household. The government will pay the extra £1000. They have to borrow over £100 billion to cover the cost. People on fixed tariffs could pay £300 penalty fee if they leave their contract.

Completely the wrong thing to do. We have seen companies making massive profits and not investing in infrastructure or people, this is from our appalling roads to a crumbling energy sector. The only way and the best way is to put a permanent profit cap on road maintenance companies, railways, airports, airlines etc etc. any excess profits must be used to either lower prices or increase pay and pension pots but crucially infrastructure investment. We must make the UK stronger and better as we lag behind most of Europe in all sectors. The companies operating in the UK must be made to work for the better, ent of the nation and not to increase offshore bank accounts that are currently being protected.

Liss Trust must resign after three days in office...

The appointment of the deputy minister Coffee has been a scandal already promting calls for resignation.

It was revealed that many severely disabled blind people have not received any payments to live on since the 1st June 2022 when te system for paying disability incomes was unexpected terminated by the then DWP secretary of state Coffee.Dispite standing up in parliment to promise MPs that the most severely disabled and blind would immediately receive a new system of income.

We learn dispite the best efforts of senior MPs and the charities she did nothing to correct this disaster dispite knowing it was discriminatory and continuation of this failed government plans to commit genocide against the severely disabled and blind. The charities now want liss trust to resin with immediate effect as it is her direct responsibility to rectify this disaster by law and pay compensationT

his is short on the heals of Ricy Sunaks announcement in parliment that the government was making available 150 million to fully fund local authorities for mandatory grants for the severely disabled and blind children and adults for the purchase of essential electronic devices required by law.

The charities want to know if he will resign too for misleading parlment? Clearly the country wants a stop to this abuse of disabled blind people. Recover this money immediately and make al county councils receive this money in compliance with primary legislation. Has someone stolen this money in boris johnsons failed government?
