Live: Boris Johnson gives final speech before Liz Truss takes over as PM

Boris Johnson is entering the final hours of his premiership and preparing to officially step down as leader of the Conservative Party to make way for his successor Liz Truss.

The foreign secretary stormed to victory over rival Rishi Sunak winning 57% of the Tory Party membership vote and will be invited by the Queen to form her government on Tuesday afternoon in Balmoral.

But first, Mr Johnson will deliver his final speech as prime minister outside No 10, almost two months to the day since he announced his resignation as leader of the Tories.
