You should make your own rust remover, it works so much better than any store bought stuff. 50/50 mixture of _pure acetone + ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid)

First add oil on rusted nut and leave it for 1 hr

Easy way to remove a rusted nut and render the bolt useless! In this case throwing it in tyne garbage would be the simplest! However I must say that wd-40 rust release specialist is the best Penetrant I've ever used

Wd-40 is meant to penetrate deep within the rails and it should go down into the nut without you having to drill that hole .-.
