As a 2017 V1 owner, it's not as mild of an upgrade, more efficient chip (runs cooler), almost double the battery life, bigger better screen, I'm not sure about the "better audio" (but I'll take it), and double the storage space.
I'm also trading it in.
I mostly play JRPGs so bigger screen is better for reading. 🤓

I own a switch but I traded it in got $200 for it on GameStop and will buy the OLED switch hands down I only play in handheld mode so I'm set and Metroid Dread is made for that system

I have the 2017 model of the nintendo switch gray joy cons if I might add. I play in both handheld and in docked because I take my handhelds practically in most public places so I might consider getting the switch oled model. I suggest that If you got a switch in 2019 or later you should not need to upgrade unless you the funds to do so.

After playing the ps5 and series x is hard to go back to the switch, that's a big fat lie🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have both next been consoles and a CX OLED and I get more enjoyment out of my switch, not to mention a lot of the games especially indie titles are on the switch as well and they look and play the same. There's a reason why next Gen didn't interrupt the switches sales🤣

I’m looking to upgrade from a lite to an oled, specifically the splatoon one.
I can understand how annoying upgrading from the normal switch to an oled would be but going from lite to Oled I feel would be worth it

i bought the white oled and didnt bother taking out the dock. this is purely a handheld console for me

It’s easy folks. The next nintendo upgraded piece of tech hardware will be their next gen console. For 8th gen of Switch this is it. You either settle with 1080 gaming in switch or you could wait another 2-3 years for 9th gen nintendo console. But just quit hoping for something that clearly out of reach.

All I got say speak with your wallet if you want the OLED to be $300 as the current Switch with the same internal specs instead of $350. Nintendo will shift prices if it's not selling. The Skyward Sword (10 year old game) at Best Buy is now $40 now after 2 months being on the market at $60 back on July 16 2021. Nintendo fixed the launch Nintendo 3DS from $250 to $170 after few months.

would be great if nintendo finally made a switch that plays at 1080p 60 fps docked 720p 60 fps handheld. The tech is there. Android sells $550 phones that output 4k video some are capable for 4k mobile gaming just putting it out there
