I don't understand how you guys are so extremely handy and resourceful, you use all the modern tools but still use a bunch of weeds with a short handle to sweep. They do make push brooms that are very convenient and you don't have to bend over to use them. 😊

Your block layout is very similar to what we do in the USA. In Pennsylvania we have basements, which are below ground usually and they use block or prefab concrete.

I wonder if you have concrete saws that would have helped cut through the floor? We have rental companies that you can rent equipment by the hour, day or week, etc.
