Don't let recruiters sweet talk you into an MOS

If you really look in to it, many simple job wish can be filled by multiple MOS.
“I like to play with big guns.” - Infantry, FA, Armor
“I want to mess with computer.” - cyber, signal, sometimes admin
“I want to drive big, bad vehicles.” - transportation, armor, sometimes Cav Scout

Sum up your wish into one sentence, then dive into the detail to pick your MOS.

91E allied trades. My son is in the national guard. He took his AIT in welding and machine shop. Makes a lot of money in his civilian job!

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a new chaos video!

Key thing to remember is that just cause you did it in the army does not mean you can instantly transfer that into a civilian job. An army police officer still has to go through police academy to be a civilian police.

My MOS gives me the ability to join some technical things with it's Electronic Troubleshooting. But, It doesn't play into what I really want to do. I had fun in it regardless.

12 series is one of the best for civilian transfer, you learn a trade from your MOS

The answer to picking the right job comes down to 5 thing:
1. What are you qualified for (you can improve your elgiblity by retaking ASVAP test and getting a higher score.
2. What is available? Yes it is rolling the dice to see what is there and you might get better or worst options if you wait.
3. What are your interest based on yout options available?
4. What do you want to get out of the military while you are in?
5. What do you want to get out of the military when you get out?

Thank you so much. I’m getting ready to enlist and I’ve been watching your videos a lot. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Perfect timing for this video, did my Asvab and got 94, and all my line scores are 130-133. So I qualify for anything available which makes it hard to pick

15F I chose my MOS because i already knew i wanted to work on helicopters and/or work on electrical, but that changed after my first helicopter ride along. i'm studying up for SIFT (Selection Instrument for Flight Training) to become a pilot

Chaos with the clutch video the day after I passed MEPS. I go back to swear in & sign my contract within the next few weeks. Great to know about the re-classing. Thanks! 👍🏼👏🏼

"The Army is going to let you pick what you do in the Army as long as you qualify for it and it's available." Not for officers, before commissioning cadets and officer candidates will rank every branch by personal preference (males must put at least one combat arm in their top three, although this may have changed since my time) and the Army will pick your branch for you, taking your preference into consideration, but ultimately the "needs of the Army" will prevail. I got my third choice.

First step: be glad that you had sense enough to join the branch where you can actually pick the job you want to do.

Going 11B was the best choice for me; no regrets, but don’t sleep on all the awesome jobs the army has out there! Do your research.

I just noticed even though I'm subscribed, you don't show up in my subscriptions. While I was rejected from enlisting for psyops and think this channel may be a psyop, our masters are running a bigger one on all of us.

I always wanted to something telecom related but because I suck at math beyond arithmetic, that stopped that in its tracks. Oh well, oil industry for me 😊

Pick a service. Pick a challenge. Set yourself apart. Army Navy Air Force Marines. What a great place. What a great place to start.🎶
