"SciComm: How to talk to scientists and non-scientists to advance your initiatives"

As scientists, we communicate with a range of stakeholders ranging from our peers to publish or attract a grant, through policy makers to inform wider investment in our research enterprises. Some scientists even communicate outside of their colleagues in industry and academe to include expanded science literacy to families and schools. The singular underlying strategy to be effective at advancing your initiatives with all of these groups is effective communication of your science. In this seminar, recorded live on April 6, 2022, Dr. Cutucache shares some of her stories of SciComm and its broad application.

Christine E. Cutucache, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Biology; Haddix Community Chair of Science; and Director of the STEM Teaching, Research, and Inquiry-based Learning (TRAIL) Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
