Seminar Series: Exploring Challenges in Vaccine Research with Dr. Christine Grady

Vaccines, one of the marvels of modern science, are responsible for reducing morbidity and mortality from several formidable diseases and making major contributions to global public health. Yet, developing and testing vaccines present complex scientific and ethical challenges. Dr. Grady will discuss some of the ethical challenges in developing and testing vaccines by using selected cases (e.g. Ebola, HPV, HIV, COVID vaccine research) to highlight specific issues.
