The Basalt is a SUV-coupe from the French brand, Citroen. It sports unique SUV-coupe body styling with a sloping roofline, while the interior is similar to the C3 and C3 Aircross, but with more features. The Basalt will slot in the popular compact SUV segment in the Indian market, going up against cars like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Overall good package. Being in the same line for quite a long time now, I feel these features especially the solid cockpit and that 'rear seat thingy' are much required for Indians over the BS features. However, I found Basalt has too much borderline Black treatment that though makes the car appear bigger, looks bulky. They could provide a sleeker silhouette.

Competing with the Curvv will not be an easy journey at all, especially when there are very few service and showroom points across the country. But, Citroen is known for their mechanism, whereas Tata is there with their Build Quality prospectus all the time.

Both C3 and C3 AirCross are phenomenal to drive, but again very few new Indian car owners look at the dynamics and drivability while buying one.

I hope if at all they put a basic variant for ., and we are gonna c lots of cabs and top variant on road should be 14+ lakhs and basic 1.2L N.A petrol should be around 8-9 lakhs on road ., the brand would c a good sales volume provided they are going to be enough of Citroën dealerships to cater!!!!

I love Citroen..always brings some feature that is novel, practical and cool. The thigh adjusted seats are gonna be a big game changer. Now everyone will follow, as usual.

Everything is good in this car but will parts be cheap and available like Suzuki cars? If a crash happens then only the service centre can repair it. No other options...
