“Do you think EVERYTHING rots?” || Animation Test - Amanda The Adventurer

What do YOU think? Do you think everything rots? :D

This is an animation test I did of the Amanda rig I built for an upcoming music project~! I wanted to do a test to make sure the rig was flexible and expressive. I’m planning to take some extra assets I made of this and import it into the base file.

I had been fixated on Amanda the Adventurer since a few days after the game dropped. Ignoring all the similarities it has to some things I was already into, it brings so many cool ideas to the table and their execution is just so fun and interesting. Something that inspiring needs all effort put into what it encourages! Stay tuned for what me and Team Neutron are doing!

I know it’s selfish but I wanna see more tapes animated like you got Amanda’s personality so perfectly. I need more tapes 😭 though I imagine some are harder to depict than others because of the gruesome nature of it but y’know, , , I need to see Wooly in your style, too!

Dude, the artstyle reminds me of Jake and the Neverland Pirates while the movement/animation feels like Cuphead and the VHS makes it feel old and classic, and it's so nostalgic I'm already onboard for whatever you guys have in store. I'd love to see more Amanda the Adventurer animations in your style! (also I need to talk to the frigging animator, this is so good I can't--)

I just want you to know that I stumbled across this on tumblr a few days ago and it sent me down a rabbit hole. I'd never even heard of Amanda the Adventurer before seeing this, but this little audio clip paired with your animation made me HAVE to know. And your animation is so perfect! The cute body proportions, the over-the-top cheeriness, the bouncy animation, the VHS fuzz, all contrasted with Amanda's outburst -- it's amazing. I hope you do more of these!
