Your mom is doing wonderfully!! She inspires me. Another great aspect of the velvet hangers is that their curved sides help eliminate “pointy shoulders” when hanging knitwear.

Sometimes it's not the piece but all the memories attached to it we have a hard time with. I declutter my closest twice a year while switching seasonal clothes. At the same time I start a list of what I need ie a belt, scarf, purse to complete a outfit. This is also when I make repairs to clothes I use frequently..
