I would honestly put original sin higher, at least up to the 4th spot. It just has that charm of beginning a fresh new game you haven't played before if you know what I mean.

I used to have season 4 on top but i recently changed my number one to season 2. And the reason is season 4 has some issues in its writing.

Mainly with arthur. See arthur is a great concept for an antagonist. Hes very menacing and his backstory is really interesting. But the way the show decides to integrate him into dexters story is heavily flawed. What i mean by that is the whole season only happens because dexter doesnt immediatly kill arthur after learning hes the trinity killer.

And this is the only season (besides 8 with oliver saxon) that has this problem. Because in every other season dexter doesnt immediately kill the antagonist because 1. Hes unsure whether they fit the code, 2. They are to dangerous for him to just immediately kill, and 3. It is to difficult for dexter to kill them due to reasons such as there occupation or routine. However arthur fits none of those. Hes just an old man who lives a generic suburban life whose death wont cause dexter secondary inconvenience.

The only reason dexter doesnt kill him is because "he wants to learn how to be a serial killer and a loving father/husband"

Its comparable to spiderman: no way home. The concept is awsome but peter forgetting to appeal his denial into MIT before going to strange is just such bad writing given that peters meant to be a genuis. Same thing goes with dexter season 4. An amazing concept that they had no idea how to articulate once it was time to write the season.

Season 2 should be #1 and Season 3 should be #6. Other than that I agree

1. 4 (Best season ever. Trinity Killer was terrifying and ending was amazing)
2. 7 (Perfect)
3. 2 (Perfect)
4. 1 (Perfect)
5. 5 (Great)
6. Original sin(good)
7. New blood ( It was great until the ending)
8. 6 ( Mid)
9. 8 ( Terrible ending but atleast first 4 episodes were nice)
8. 3( I skipped this season it was so boring and a slog to get through. Miguel was a weak villain)
