In this video we'll be going over the best common magic items, which is the lowest rarity of magic items in the game, a rarity that makes them pretty easy to get a hold of in most campaigns, and is usually relegated to the more useless or flavorful items.

My favorite common magic item is the Unbreakable Arrow.
With the unbreakable arrow you have a dollar store Unmovable Rod. Any Huge, Complex, Deadly Trap becomes a mere inconvenience by jamming the Unbreakable Arrow into the moving mechanism, it's a true monkey wrench if used right.

Yes, a cheap dagger or climbing pitons can do that too. However they are breakable and with the arrow, the mechanism will break before the arrow does. One Unbreakable Arrow could save you from being crushed in a compacting room/hallway, and two could be used to help your character climb most surfaces.

*( I should have waited until the end of the movie.)

You forgot something about the clockwork amulet, it negates the need to roll, so if you have disadvantage, it doesn't matter

The music levels are perfect, and the editing is spot on.

The awakened shrub qualifies for the sidekick creature in the new Tasha's book. You could literally grow a grove of little helpers that can take care of home fort for you.

Used to play yugioh and when I clicked on this video I got a wave of nostalgia when I realized that you're Duellogs. Cool to see your vids again man.

Eberron is such a great setting, so happy that a lot of the magic items from there are on this list

This video couldn't have come at a better time. My players are going to meet a magic item trader next session.

The wood focus would be great for a scribes wizard, if they take the elemental adept feat for the desired type and make sure to take a spell of the desired damage type at every level, they can freely benefit from this damage at all times as they can cast other damage spells using the damage type of the other spell

I'd love to see a video that ranks the 5 metallic dragons, and the 5 chromatic dragons, and puts their ancient forms all in a top 10 and ranks them in terms of lethality.

I love being an Eldritch knight and instead of taking war caster I can use the hat or the ruby! I'm so excited!!!

The awakened shrub is even better than in this video with the new sidekick rules. Sidekicks can be non-humanoids and get levels in different classes. I believe the plant only qualifies for warrior, but that's leaps in power above the base stat block

That awakened shrub would be amazing to "plant" at the door of your tower.
"Hey Shrubsby, anyone come by while I was out?"
"Sure boss, some Girl Rangers selling cookies, a missionary from the Reformed Church of Umberlee, the mailman, and, oh yeah, a couple of Dargon Blooddrinker's goons were across the road watching the house all day."
"Hmm... I might have to move on him sooner rather than later. Thanks buddy, let me know if they're back."

The Masquerade Tattoo seems really interesting, especially in a play setting with a lot of tattoos or if they’re important, such as in Thay or if you’re doing something in Eberron

One campaign I played a thief rogue warforged that used tools to make magic potions. Since I could use items as a bonus action I was the party healer, which fit because my character used to be a doctor.

In the game where I play we have a house rule that health potions auto heal you 10 hp instead of 2d4+2 but to compensate that healing potions are much rarer than usual

I like the spellwrought, but I made it act more like the other tattoos. I put tattoo artists in my world, and some can apply higher level spells than others, the cost of the application is higher as well because it's permanent, but if you bring buddy boy a spell scroll, you get a bit off. What tattoo artist can apply which tattoos depends entirely on the artist's INT.... And by 3rd level, you're already paying like 1k gp for a single tattoo (but come on, it's a free third level spell), granted the artist you're going to can actually apply it. And if they can't, well, you just gotta travel around to find one who can, and the world is notoriously unsafe for travellers, to the point where the main trading company hires mercenaries to guide their caravans because of the monsters that roam everywhere, and adventurers are almost unheard of bc it's so damn easy to just die.

Me: A item that lets me cast find familiar regardless of class and no other investment than getting most other magic items?!
Characters are temporary, my owl familiar is eternal!
