Awesome. I've been looking forward to this one because I'm very interested in your opinion on this for obvious reasons.

I don't know if you saw it or not, but I did an efficiency test video where I put 3 chimneys of charcoal and just let it run at 225 till it ran out. It went for DAYS! It's super efficient.  I am amazed you were able to get 15 racks of spare ribs in there. I was only about to get 12 racks of baby backs in mine. Are spare ribs cut differently over there?

LOL. Leg sockets = "Weber heritage" (You are much more diplomatic than me, buddy!)

Congratulations on the new cooker, man. You are going to love it! Great job.

Hi Pitmaster X, thanks for this review always enjoy watching your channel. I too own this grill, since March this year. It is absolutely amazing for both small and very large cooks. Since you did a one shot review perhaps good to add some perspective of using the grill over a longer period from my side as I use the grill weekly. It works like a charm and it is runs very economical on its fuel and you can manage/correct temperatures really well. I did some longer cooks on it 10 - 15 hours and it managed to stay on temp really well if you clean the bottom vent regularly. Both with and without a fan controller. I did some searing and pizza making on very high temps (getting of the scale of the provided temp gauge) and also than it works well, even if you use the diffuser plate to create a very hot pizza oven. Very good build quality, insulation and a strong solution for indirect grilling with the diffuser plate. I do have the Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Center (with the full side table) which make life at the grill so much easier as you have a great working space and you can store the various accessories really well (e.g. the diffuser plate). The side table can get really dirty during some cooks but since it is stainless steel it is so easy to clean up.

Small points of critique for those considering this grill. The wheels on grill should not be plastic and should all rotate, imho this does not suit a €2000+ grill. I did manage to break the basic GBS Grill insert after a few week but within a week I got supplied with a completely new grill grate by Webber (top service). Also the gas ignition system runs less smooth after many uses as it collects ash and dirt causing an increase in the time you need to get a proper ignition. I am back into using a Looftlighter as it is easy to light only a few coals to setup for low and slow. Overall very happy with this grill and its superb performance.

Hope this adds some insights to your review!

I sold my house to buy this grill. The Bank turned me down a few times, but after I got my raise at work, it was more affordable. I got a 30 year 2% Fixed Rate loan. True Story Dude..

Nice video.
And I gotta say... I love my Weber Summit Charcoal Grill Center.
Awesome charcoal grill! So far it has handled EVERYTHING I've thrown at it...low & slow, hot & fast, baking, pizza...you name it.
Versatility is killer. And just for reference, I own & use five other outdoor cookers...not including dedicated fryers.

Btw, Pitmaster X, this is one of the best demo for this grill, even better than Weber's demo.

I have the basic Weber grill at home and love it. The one thing I love is that it does keep the coals working for a long time, and the meat cooks greatly. The price was right also and I love that.

For those comparing this to the Kamodo Joe (I have the II), I see the Summit having the following advantages;
- Lighter, easier to move around
- The Summit has a better lower/upper section for charcoal. With the Joe you lower the grilling grate itself, which makes it a little harder to use in the lower level.
- Looks like the summit comes with the stainless heat diffuser (?) with sides that open up to add more wood chunks, with the Joe you have to move a ceramic half circle to do so.
- The Summit doesn't have ceramic parts so it wont crack or break.
- It has a built in gas starter.

Biggest bennefits of the Joe I see are the built in side shelves, and the theory that the ceramic will retain heat better. But a lot of reviewers seems to say the the Summit retains heat fine, even in the winter. You can get a Joe II for <$1000 at the Costco roadshows, whereas the Summit is around $1400. But for a grill that should last a good 10 years or more whats another $400?

I bought one of these 2 weeks ago for $2, 500 Australian (gas ignition and charcoal together are not allowed in Australia apparently). I've cooked about 10 meals on it so far and can't get enough of it. It's temperature stability for Ribs or bake part of a Reverse Sear is awesome. Then pop open the vent and up she fires for a red hot sear. I love this BBQ and now look at my kettle with guilt because I know it probably won't get used much anymore.

Can the fire be snuffed out like a kamado so you can re-use the coals again?

Hi Pitmaster X, since you both have the JoeTisserie and the Weber Summit now can you please validate if the JoeTisserie can fit on the Weber and works? Thanks in advance for your help in this one!
