I don’t think people understand how student loans work. Student loans are different than other loans. I’ve been paying for over 20 years and not even half paid. SL can’t be discharged in bankruptcy. SL have high interest and SL servicers are loan sharks. These loans are dragging people down. Something must be done. Better educated means people can make more money and pay more taxes.

Universities need to loan their own student loans to the students who attend their university. Then they will educate instead of indoctrinate cause they will want to get a return on their money!

The United States has, and continues to fail the pursuit of education in this country. The student loan problem has caused many to doubt the validity of pursuing an education by pushing citizens to pursue a cost benefit analysis which surprisingly concludes against education, which is a travesty. It is causing downward trends in school enrollment. Education must be regulated, i.e. PROTECTED, via government oversight, if it is to survive the treacherous capitalist forces in America causing education to become overpriced and sometimes useless from a utility perspective. The lack of oversight has failed, and the proof is in the disbelief among citizens everywhere that education is something not worth pursuing anymore. Countries where education is more highly regarded and valued will threaten to pass us by. And when they do, they will take the homebase of capital away from its established homes on wall street and silicon valley as well. Those places will be moving elsewhere, i.e. India, and China.
