Finding from many studies that powered tooth brush doesn’t damage much of the tooth structure compared to manual tooth brushing. The benefits of using powered tooth brush is very little pressure is required to remove the plaque from the tooth surface and the modern tooth brushes are equipped with the pressure sensors which will inform or intimate the patient about the pressure applied so that less damage can happen to the tooth structure and according to the studies it is suggested that the manual tooth brushing, the force what we apply is around 250 gram force but powered tooth brush, it requires jut 80 to 90 to displace the plaque from the tooth surface. So powered tooth brush are less likely to cause any damage to the tooth structure.
