I Bought a PS5 Pro just for GT7 on PSVR2 - Do I Think it's Worth It? In this video I am discussing my thoughts on PS5 Pro for GT7 strictly for PSVR2. I will let you know if I think the differences are worth it to get the Pro over the original PS5. My take on this is is strictly for Gran Turismo 7 though in VR. It is the only game I currently use my PlayStation 5 Pro for and I only race on PSVR2.

I’ve had GT7 since launch on the PS5 and have exclusively played on VR2 since its launch. Since upgrading to the PS5 Pro, I can confidently say that the picture appears higher resolution and the LoD transitions are fewer and less jarring. My main tell is the rear wings on modded cars, they no longer disappear when the cars are farther ahead of me. The motion is also smoother as well due to the updated reprojection methodology. PS5 Pro + PSVR2 gets a thumbs up from me! The most immersive experience is if you race at night, overcast, or in dusk conditions as the lighting is the chef’s kiss. My PS5 is also an exclusive GT7 machine and is permanently attached to my sim rig.

Completely agree, although I do play more than GT7 on my PSVR2, GT7 alone justifies the price. Also agree on the need for a wheel and pedal set due to the immersion factor.

Love the pro with gt7, its slightly sharper but having no reprojection has been the biggest update.iv noticed playing flatscreen games in cinema mode lool better as well

I had 2 PS5’s, 1 in the living room and 1 in the next room on a sim rig with PSVR2. I only play GT7 on the sim rig because I just don’t want to play other racing games that aren’t VR. I changed the living room PS to a Pro as this is the one I play more games on but after I tried GT7 on the pro with a controller, I sold my sim rig PS5 and changed it for a Pro also as GT7 looked so much better without reprojection. I’ve also just bought a Buttkicker 🙏. On GT Sport I used to pull out my Logitech steering wheel and cheap seat every time I fancied a race, but over the last few years I’ve upgraded everything to a NLR GT track rig which is permanently out, Fanatec DD Pro with the upgraded torque pack, upgraded pedals, gear shifter, Clubsport wheel v2.5, buttkicker pro. Haven’t worked out the price but it’s getting high 🤦‍♂️

it defiantly improves the overall experience. Less pop in, reprojection almost completely gone, gotta go into the setting and look for the hidden option for positional reprojection a set it to on, which is counter intuitive, cons are the hud can be a bit messed up if it’s not got a constant stable background and price tag,

I just got the Pro, PSVR2 and Thrustmaster T300 for GT7 and my I love it by far the most immersive experience I've had on VR. So fun

The new VR repro setting available on the Pro is a game changer for me. I tended to get nauseous pretty quickly on the regular PS5, since switching to the Pro I can have much longer VR sessions and not start to feel sick at all.I was even able to do some dirt events with no issue.

I'm happy with playing and modding Asseto Corsa in VR and I'm not sure spending £1000+ (PS5, PSVR2, steering wheel and GT7) for 1 game, . Let alone ps5 pro, but thanks for your opinion. Really enjoy your enthusiasm

I bought the PS5 pro and I personally have noticed a big upgrade from the base model using GT7 psvr2.

I've been over and back on both models - pro and base PS5, testing. I can only test on "My first Gran Turismo" because I haven't managed to get a disc drive for the pro yet.

I've found it's clearer, less foggy and smoother. Even with "VR positional projection" turned off, in the GT7 settings on the pro. It is visually better than the standard PS5.
I don't regret buying the pro and plan to also keep my original PS5.

I'm the same....GT7 only in PSVR2. The reason I never upgraded to the Pro was exactly what you have just confirmed. It's not worth the £700 price tag for a slightly clearer image 👍👍

seeing the full details interiors made it worthy. Try going back to the og ps5. Things are much smoother for me with the pro. I also only play 2 games on ps5 pro. GT7 and F1 24.

Gt7 with a wheel alone is a whole new way to experience gaming. Nothing is like it but adding VR unlocks the simulation aspect making it real driving.

I bought PS5, PSVR2, full Fanatec set incl loadcell and shifter just to play GT7 so it's nice to hear the PSVR2 is worth it just for GT7 at least 😅

I bought the PS5 for GT7 and the VR headset along with a wheel and chair . I traded in my PS5 for the Pro to reduce the cost which to me was worth doing since they had an update for GT7 . When I 1st tried it out I didn't see a huge change but as I turned " PSSR " (off) dam it's a game changer . Well worth every dam penny .

The bigger problem is: If you love the new reprojection on the PS5 PRO GT7 Version it feels a bit like a tease at the same time...because as far as i know, this is the only game at the moment supporting this for PSVR2.
