I'm not overly fond of Taco Bell, but eating it shouldn't be an arrestable offense. Florida cops,

The man is eating a taco in front of them and they say we don't know why you are here? What fine deduction skills these cops have.

Arrests him for remaining silent, then tells him he has the right to do that!
genius.

Another beautiful example of unnecessary escalation by officers. They prefer to arrest and pay fines and lawsuits later.

Does it not seem strange that when the citizen uses his fifth amendment right he is arrested and, can you guess, he is read his fifth amendment right.

Cops made a huge mistake by arresting him for no reason.

I'm a former US Army JAG lawyer and after 23 years in service I retired and came back home to a job as a county sheriff's deputy. This video shows exactly what happened to my son at 20 years old. He was on his way to DC as he was accepted into Georgetown Law School just as was 26 years before however, the LEO's decided to drag my son out of his car and arrest him on false charges of obstruction and no proof of insurance. Luckily this all happened in the same state we lived in and I was a member of the Bar of that state so I could practice. I represent my son and the charges were dismissed by the judge along with an apology from the Chief. The officer were disciplined within the department which does not mean anything but there was no need for my son to be ripped out of his car and arrested for not answering any questions and yes there is a civil rights lawsuit on going right now.

"Your eyes look red." said the police officer. "Have you been smoking weed?"

"Your eyes look glazed." I replied. "Have you been eating donuts?"

How rude to approach two strangers and interrupt their private conversation.

They arrested him because their ego's could not handle rejection, I hope he sued the lot of them, especially the Sgt who should have been the voice of reason.

Did they just tell him “you have the right to remain silent” and then arrested him for being silent?

Never cease to amaze me when a citizen exercises their fifth amendment right and officer still attempt to talk to you. The first thing they do when they read your rights is you have the right to remain silent. What part of that do they not comprehend? SMH!

Just so you know in toronto Canada it takes 2 years to become a police officer and you need college prerequisites. That's why I do not understand the American method of law enforcement and what happened to protect and serve
