What a lot of people don't realise is that the makers never said the Titanic is unsinkable. No one can give that kind of guarantee. Because it was a so 'huge and luxurious', the people themselves said it was unsinkable and eventually it got muddled around and people said the makers claimed it was unsinkable

Fact: the Titanic's Captain said "Not even God himself could sink this ship.

Just a small thing to add, Titanic wasn’t thought of as completely unsinkable, it was thought of as practically unsinkable due to its safety features, and multiple other ships such as the Lusitania and Mauretania were also known as practically unsinkable.

Okay historian Marty Here:

The RMS Titanic began construction in 1909 and was finished in early 1912. It costed 7 million dollars to build. They cut costs on most of the steel or Furnishing and electricity. Around 4 died and 36 people were badly injured. Then on 4/2/1912 (April 2nd, 1912) made it to its first of 4 stops, last being New York. It’s theorized that one of the boilers had caught fire in which the weaker hull of the ship was damaged and burnt and inspectors didn't notice it and white star line hadn’t fixed it despite being aware of the Damage. That spot would later be apart of the holes that were hit by the iceberg. The wreck was dormant until September, 1985 when Robert Ballard and his team had searched and found two sunken jets. The recent submarine that imploded may have something to do with the controls of the sub. It’s a 30 dollar Logitech with triangular prisms on the Joystick. But the thing to note is that the Controller had to be charged.
