Thanks for the tutorial. It works for me. There is a minor change. sudo killall wpasupplicant -> sudo killall wpa_supplicant. I add an underscore to this command and it finally worked. I also included quotes in SSID and password.

does not work for me and I dont understand why it works for you need to install ubuntu desktop, no ?
wifi, ok, update upgrade ok, and when reboot I stay in ubuntu server :/
