Some parts of Washington, Oregon and Idaho will see record-breaking temperatures this weekend, 20 to 30 degrees above usual summer highs.

I live the Sonoran desert in Arizona. It'll be 116° in some places in the Valley of the Sun. It's been 122° back in 1990. It's a dry heat. Air temp will probably be closer to 122°. The temps are taken in the shade, not fun on sun.
