Nice video; that technique of painting the buildings façades is called “trompe l’oeil”: it’s an expression coming from the French language and could be translated as: a disguise for the eye. This technique is /was quite common in Italy and also in our region Liguria and adds richness of elements to plain façades.

Still shook at how youtube recommended me this video; cause i went to highschool there in the nautical institute, the big white building you can see above the train tracks by the tunnel's side.
I havent been there in like 4 years but this video refreshed so many memories, great stuff.

Glad to see you enjoy yourselves in our beautiful slice of heaven we call Liguria! As a millenial german but who was born and raised here, and has seen and lived in quite a bit of the world, I can confidently say this is one of the best places to stay in our currently quite chaotic world. We'd love to have you back someday to explore more of the incredible diverse beauties it has to offer! ❤ Also, if you know any in your agegroup who are thinking about moving to Italy, please consider making a case for it, we desperatly need some more young people 😂
