It's not the losing at Newcastle, that was always a possibility, it's the way we lost, had we have scrapped and fought and played for our survival and lost 1-0 or 2-1, then ok, something to build on. We have 17 games to get 20 - 21 points, what have we got in the last 15 games, 1 win, 3 draws, 6 points. We beat Arsenal and drew against Chelsea, Spurs and Man U. All so called big 6 teams. Anyway Lampard and his team of coaches, advisors are going to have to earn their salaries.

The staff Lampard has put together is top class. I have confidence in the backroom staff and Lampard. The key thing for me is, the backroom staff will teach our players how to win games and stay up, will our players take this knowledge on board and do what there told?

Do these players have the fight and mentality for a relegation battle. I doubt it so it could get worse. The defence is the biggest worry moving forward as Holgate and Keane are the two for the next few weeks

Apart from the backroom staff and Frank Lampard who know there is a lot of work in the club the squad does not know the meaning of nil satis nisi optimum 1878 (Nothing but the best)and have to fight like dogs of war as if their lives depends on it literally tough times for Everton and this doesn't happen overnight we have to fight to stay up and get that into the players mind💙💙💙💙💙

Sometimes players go missing with an injury because they haven't got the stomach for a fight.

No heart in the players can't really think of any player worthy of wearing the Everton shirt

Allan and Gomes were trying to keep the passes central…..Newcastle flooded the middle and we couldn’t get into a rhythm.

No guts, no determination and no quality.

Scary thing is that it won’t be fixed overnight

the last manager to lose his opening league game was Gordon Lee, Frank will have to clear the decks and
get rid of the deadwood

Holgate, Coleman & Keane strolling round like they’re in caldies with the kids feeding the ducks. Aye don’t bother like, just a six pointer

The Goodison faithful might be able to get a few wins. But I think it will be W9 D7 L22. And 34 points means relegation. But Everton will be back.

There’s no two ways about it, we’re going down. The squad is full of cowards. The remaining fixtures are ominous. Sad.

Horrible performance . Defence a disgrace. Coleman can't play - get Patterson in. Board a joke. We needed a striker, no 8, centre back before Lampard. Really worrying, awful

Only Gordon showed some fight its embarrassing when one of the younger players is the only one who plays like he cares

We were miles off the pace tonight absolutely miles, we didn’t even have the mental capacity to double up on stmax and let him run the game. If we couldn’t stop him at least try and stop the supply to him but alas no.

Felt sorry for Alan he didn’t have a good game but what was around him was awful.

Dele Ali is a overhyped bang average player, spurs must be laughing so hard with that transfer 😂
