May 13 & 15, 2010 - Assistant Conductor Benjamin Rous leads The Phoenix Symphony in a journey across cultures conducting the music from the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon by composer Tan Dun and the monumental 5th Symphony of Beethoven. The Crouching Tiger Concerto, drawn from the epic score, features Betti Xiang performing on the Chinese erhu, a traditional stringed instrument found in Chinese orchestras.
