How early dementia diagnosis gave us relief
Показать описание
Early dementia diagnosis has given relief to Bill and his wife Jo, who has been in denial about problems with her memory. Her diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia has brought a sense of calm.
After Jo’s diagnosis, Bill decided to stop working early so that they could spend more time together. Had he left it until his retirement, he thinks it would have been too late.
Bill and Jo have been together for nearly 50 years and he says, ‘the good thing about early diagnosis is we can enjoy a new life together.’
It’s not called getting old. It’s called getting ill.
