Ive noticed when im making mixes I tend to try to remix songs and add my own flair, but playing with hot cues I can only do so much. I've though about getting equipment to produce but it seems really complicated and expensive for what im trying to do. This is perfect to play with till youre ready to invest producing. Right now, I just wanna jam. Super cool features packed in one controller!

QUESTION:How do you apply time correct to the samples you are using?I mean when you use a clap or other one beat sample and you want it to Loop synced to the current track playing...but not hit on ever 1/1 beat...but hit every 1/4 or 1/8 beat.As an example you can watch Maceo Plex Boiler Room Set in Berlin. He uses a clap on some effect pad quite often as a means to buid up before the next drop. I was only able to get the Loop to work on 1/1 beat and did not find any easy solution...now seeing this Video im thinking could a really well played sequence work?  Thank you for any answer in advance!

I really enjoy your videos and now that I have my ddj 1000 and Rekordbox software, I am planning to get some lessons from you guys. I was wondering since unforfunetly the ddj 1000 doesn't have the record buttons like on the ddj RB and ddj RR. So I was wondering if I can use MIDI assigning onto my Akai MPK 249 or the XP2 to use their buttons and knobs to control the Rekordbox sequencer?

Why does the sample play so quietly when I assign the sample to a pad and use the ddj1000? Cant hear it at all
