In TN, we use a vessel made in aluminium or silver or stainless steel called as sangu. It's very useful for feeding babies. It holds only 50 gms of liquid with a round bottom and a protruded mouth which is a bit long. It allows you to feed the babies without any hassle.

Please don't do this. Bcz babys only suck small amount of milk at one time if you give more like this way baby may chock. U can use spoon.

This may be okay for you but I don't suggest this method. I'm a NICU nurse. There is alot of chance for aspiration and may leads to certain life threatening situations too. So I suggest for paladi feeding or gokarnam feeding. You may need to lean this technique from an expert. When you learn this, you'll never go back to bottle feeding anymore.

Anything is okay but you have to understand your baby my baby is prematured and I had my C section so initially milk level is very doctor advised to give formula milk through sangu but it was tough for then I tried Philips Avent natural feed bottle with that nipple my baby easily sucked milk and gained weight. So what I am trying to say is you have observe your baby with your comfortable you can grow your baby in a healthy way❤❤❤As a mother you have all the solution so please don’t confuse by seeing random videos

It should be practiced only if the person is trained as any random person could pour much quantity and may cause choking or life threatening conditions so after 1 year this could be better as baby would understand the measurements

When I gave birth in India I didn't have any breast milk in the beginning so baby was given formula. In the beginning we used paalada and spoon to feed but it was so time consuming and the baby was also getting frustrated. As soon as I reached home I started bottle feeding. Throughout he was on combination feeding because my breast milk was not enough and bottle feeding made it so much easier for both him and me. No nipple confusion and no frustration or tears....

I'll write it here as well, since I read many BS comments.
Its not to cause more Work, its not bad for a baby. Its for example recommended when you have to feed your kiddo extra, cause you're struggling with breastfeeding. If you give a NEWBORN a bottle and the Breast, they can get confused (and lazy) and tend do not accept the breast anymore, since drinking out of a bottle ALWAYS works different and easier then from the breast.
So you can use Cups, Spoons, maybe Syringes to feed your kid, without the risk of the baby denying the breast

It’s very frustrating to feed like this to the person feeding and to the baby as well. They get comforted only with bottle, pls stop doing all this. My son and me have been through this and done that, no use. He didn’t gain weight, I had to bottle feed him for his health and my wellbeing. The lady in the video, u might be blessed to breastfeed both your sons, u don’t know the pain of not able to breastfeed, so pls stop misleading people.

In West Bengal, we have something called jhinuk, it's made of copper or brass, and we use it like a spoon to feed babies liquid food, it usually have sharp edges, i don't know how mother's even feed with that, but somehow i have never seen a baby get a cut due to that
