Plastic Free Greece 2023 - Χίος | @lidlhellas

Για πρώτη χρονιά βρεθήκαμε στο νησί της Χίου στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Plastic Free Greece, πραγματοποιώντας παράκτιους και υποθαλάσσιους καθαρισμούς! Μαζί με την ομάδα του Κοινωφελούς Ιδρύματος Αθανάσιος Κ. Λασκαρίδης και τους πολύτιμους συνεργάτες μας, Αντώνη Τσαπατάκη και Γιώργο Καπουτζίδη, καθαρίσαμε τις ακτές στο Κοντάρι και τον Ναυτικό Όμιλο Χίου, αλλά και τον βυθό στην Ιχθυόσκαλα και την Αγία Ερμιόνη, συλλέγοντας συνολικά περισσότερα από 1150 κιλά απορριμμάτων με επικρατέστερα τα αποτσίγαρα και τα μπουκάλια νερού και αναψυκτικού.

Με την υποστήριξη του Κοινωφελούς Ιδρύματος Α.Κ Λασκαρίδης υπό την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Τουρισμού και του Υπουργείου Ενέργειας και Περιβάλλοντος στο πλαίσιο της εθνικής καμπάνιας «Ελλάδα Χωρίς Πλαστικά Μίας Χρήσης».

Well done to Lidl and the team, plastic free Greece is fabulous. We have a sailboat and the first thing we did was fit water filters allowing us to safely drink fresh water from our stored water tanks, no more plastic water bottles for us. We’ve saved a fortune.

How cool is this initiative. I'm Brazilian and I've always taught my children to throw trash in the trash. I currently live in the Netherlands and there are also groups there that do this voluntary work. I think it's super cool. I am against Internet activists who have never planted a tree and never sung a bottle from a beach. I arrived a few days here in Kefalonia. And I have already removed 3 bags of rubbish together with my husband. It is sad to see the contamination of fauna, flora and especially the seas, caused by tourists and mainly by the Island's residents. I say this because I saw on several hillsides rubbish left over from construction sites, tables, chairs, tires, among others, thrown by the island's residents. The city hall, together with the police, must monitor and be more energetic with monitoring. Today I bought a trash bag to remove the trash I find along the way.👏👏🇧🇷🇳🇱🇬🇷👍

Bravo. Did the same on my own filling 4 trucks in North Evoia from the Volos floods. No one was there to help..tried but all were too busy or in panic mode as apparently they had more important issues to handle (according to the mayor). Next time councils ought to collect rubbish before any flood warnings and people warned to keep their rubbish in-house till its all over. @Lidl can you create awareness what councils and people ought to do when we get storm alerts?
