This bias is caused by the inability of the person metacognitively to know all his shortcomings. what's more dangerous is that this happens to everyone!!!! let's just say Joe is not good at math but he is good at biology, Joe considers himself smart about both. that's why leaders without advisors tend to make fatal mistakes. power creates the illusion that he is smart at everything when he is not.

You know what they say, sometimes you need to accept that there are people at every corner who just don't have the capacity to understand their surroundings or be familiar with them, so arguing with them is basically impossible to win unless you show them the truth which they just wouldn't accept because they have no capacity to understand
