I was a nanny for two years with a real French family who taught me how to cook a typical rustic quiche the way the French do. I would use whatever vegetable they had on hand to make each one. It was really simple. Into a premade pie shell, I would add the meat, then whatever vegetable chopped up, then I would pour into that one egg and some sour cream, and top it off with shredded cheese. I baked it quite often for them and it was delicious. It smelled really good while it was baking. This brings back memories of my wonderful time as a nanny to two little French children I adored. Your quiche looks really yummy. I think chopped up steak would be a good sub for the ham and I love broccoli and cheese anything! Thank you Tammy!

Hi Tammy! First, what a great choice of Christmas graphics! Next, broccoli, cheese & ham quiche is one of my all-time faves, too. Your video inspired me to whip up a couple of the quiches for a quick dinner this evening. I couldn't believe it, but I didn't have enough flour to make the pie crusts so made them using some brown rice that had been cooked in a seasoned broth for an extra layer of flavor. The quiches were excellent!! No leftovers! Thanks for sharing another of your delicious recipes and for another video, y'all!

My mama made a healthy version of quiche which eliminated mayo and/or butter, used whole milk (4%) instead of half and half and no crust but instead, added 1/2 cup of flour to the egg mixture which creates a slightly crusted edge underneath egg mixture once it's baked...using just a small amount of cheese sprinkle on top. A really great quiche with way less fat thus, calories. Since I'm older and trying to eat a healthy, clean diet this works great for me. Thanks Tammie for all your hardwork and great recipes!

P.S.
I like to add several grates of fresh nutmeg, seems to intensify that "Eggy" taste.
I also use evaporated milk and never add flour.
I'll be baking a pair of these off later this afternoon...

LOVE the new open. The music and snowman and blowing snow are just great. Thanks for taking the time to do that. It made me feel ready for Christmas, NOT. Quiche looks awesome. I've never used mayonaise. Our store (up north) only got Duke's two years ago and we still don't have White Lily. I'm workin' on them. Take care of that voice.

Hi Tammy, this looks wonderful!
My family doesn't eat pork, so I'm thinking of using mushrooms?
But thinking I should use canned not fresh as fresh might add too much moisture.
I will let you know how it turns out this looks so good for cold winter nights 😸

Tammy, I have been looking for a simple quiche recipe. This will work fine for me in the tart shells since I live alone. I can freeze them and take them out as needed, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thanks Tammy.

Great video, I love quiche! Should this rest awhile before serving, for the custard to set?
