Who the hell is this kid?! All we know about him is that he is destined to be the next Jadeveon Clowney after this MASSIVE hit on a fellow tike. Is it the greatest tackle since hard-hitting since Jack Tatum and Dick Butkis. Tell us what you think or be a lame!

According to a 2001 CDC study children and teens in the US between the ages of 5-18 account for about 60% of sports related injuries, with cycling being the #1 cause, followed closely by football in second place. The numbers drop significantly with the next three of the top five spots of basketball, playground activities and then soccer.

Damn that was a clean hit. I'd hate to be the parent that witnessed his kid go down like that.

That's exactly why they have so much padding and armour on so no one gets hurt.

Basic fundamentals help prevent injury as they get older. They can't really hurt each other at this age... they simply aren't strong enough to deliver a devastating blow.

Solid tackling, he made a textbook tackle per NFL standards.

Square in the chest, no leading with the head, no chance of either player getting concussed.

That hit at that level looked scary to me. I should not let those hits go away if I was coaching those kids.

I agree with Ben & Rick, I played for 8yrs, all the way up to semi-pro FB, I probably had 20 concussions over that time ( some cognitive issues? sure) and at 40yrs old, my back, knees, hips and hands are all hurting big time. I advise people with children to chose lessor contact sports.

Yeah Rick, call your kid Neil.

Give him the middle name Before while you are at it too. Oh, and change your surname to Zod.

Rick, Ben, millions upon millions of children have played organized, full contact F-ball for more than a century. The fact is that the injury rate has been no higher than youth B-ball, and lower than Cheerleading. We all hate to hear sports horror stories, especially those involving kids. However, I feel so much panic is fed by hysteria, and not the facts at large. All levels have greatly stepped up safety, just as they did in 1906, when playing was frequently lethal. Interesting subject. Thanks

Shit man that kid in the maroon went in for a 2nd hit as well.
Pee-Wee version of "stay down".

I'm sorry, but that coach's reaction was funny.

Apparently there is damage from repeated non-concussion indusing hits.

Here is the problem with TYT Sports. You have two guys here who have OBVIOUSLY not experienced the sport and lack an understanding of the game. What you have to realize is that at this age, they cannot generate enough force to really hurt each other. Pee Wee football helps to teach basic fundamentals and PREVENTS injury as they get older. Leave the sports commentary to people who have actually engaged in what you're talking about.

Pee Wee football is a terrible idea. If someone starts playing pee wee football in 1st grade, not only are they especially vulnerable at that age, but they are setting themselves up for up to 16 years (if they continue playing through college) of being at a high risk for hits that could permanently damage their brain. It should be flag football only through at least 7th grade

if i was the coach i wouldn't have reacted like he did I would've told the kid to simply not tackle head first unless the want to get injured.
