That 30 minutes I spent every Saturday morning in front of my tv tuned into CBS to watch this show is one of the most formative and special parts of my childhood that helped shape me and millions of kids around the world, thank you so much Paul Ruebens, RIP King 👑 🙏🏼

I rushed here just now after hearing the sad news. RIP Mr. Reubens. Thank you for all the laughs you gave us. Us 80's kids lost an icon just now. In public school, we always did an impression contest. He really did make an inpact on all of us. Made us laugh on Saturday mornings. Years go by, and you just never forget. Thank you,

Everyone that is here seeing this today, of all days, wish you the best. 😢 Rest in peace Our Friend, Pee-Wee.

Rest in peace, Pee Wee. This show made my childhood amazing. This show always made my imagination run wild, and really helped shape my sense of humour. You will be missed.

I forgot how awesome (and occasionally creepy) this show was. It did two things that kid's shows rarely do these days: It understood that adults were watching too and tried to make it as enjoyable for them instead of an infantile slog, and much more importantly, _it didn't treat kids like they were idiots._
Pretty much every children's program eventually tells the viewers that it's okay to be different and that it isn't a bad thing, it's just different. _Pee-wee's Playhouse_ never had to say it, because it spent every episode SHOWING it instead.

This was by far my favorite show as a kid. There was no one in the world like Pee Wee, and there never will be. Everything he said or did was funny, wacky, unique and entertaining

As a little kid growing up I remember this was one of my favorite shows. The puppets and the themes were everything to me. Kids today don't have it as good as we did back in the day.

The man did his job. You can't ask for more than that. I grew up watching him... best memories.
I salute you, Pee Wee. Enjoy your rest. o7

Anyone else here after the news of Paul Reubens' passing? Like that's actually really heartbreaking to hear because I know he made a LOT of people's childhoods
And even though I didn't grow up in the era of this show, I enjoyed watching him in retrospect, not even just as Pee-Wee. RIP Paul

RIP Paul Ruebans I had to rewatch this opening when I heard the news he died, this was my childhood Saturday mornings. You always put a smile on my face when I’m down and you still do. Your awesome talent will be missed and treasure forever. It is a sad day indeed but I will always remember the good times I had Saturday mornings and I got the DVDs to treasure forever. Be at rest Pee-Wee Herman. 😢

Good bye, Paul. You were a funny guy and while you made some mistakes you owned up to them and I for one respected that. Thank you for everything you did for us.
