1 year Harbor Freight Bandsaw review

Its been a little over a year since I bought this Harbor freight woodworking bandsaw, Its working well! Thanks for watching!

I’ve been using a Central Machinery/Harbor Freight bandsaw for over 30 years! The only thing I’ve had to replace was a cracked trunnion and repair the blade guide assembly…The wheel tires are still original, I could stand to replace those…for the money it’s served me well!!

Good review. Have looked at those more then once but haven't been able to bring myself to get one yet. Still use the small band saw Momma got me for Christmas a few years back. :-)

I had that saw. Add the link belts, it will smooth the overall saw vibration. I added a Kreg fence to mine. It has a round tube that mounts on the side to hold the fence.

Great review! I have a drill press that had a rattle. I put duct tape on the lid lip where it contacted and that eliminated it.

HarborFrieght is selling this for 400 right now i was considering buying one as its 300-800 cheaper then another 14" but the table and wheel quality really threw me off. Have you been able to find anyone that makes cast iron computer balanced wheels for this saw or any other replacements? Checking out your knives now!

The table doesn't need to be square, it just needs to be flat. When one either buys or builds a fence, you attach rails to the side of the table, and those can be shimmed however they need to be to BE square. The fence is going to ride on those rails, not on the edge of the table. Table squareness means nothing.

Why is it that if the Chinese are going to make a knock off of the Delta 14 inch Band Saw that they can't at least match the quality of the product they are copying or for that matter exceed the quality of their knockoff!
Such as the table being squared!

Not being square seems like a big deal for a precision tool.
