I see this is a hopeful song. I interpret “you wanna go for a ride? It’s over” as in, the mistakes of your past are over and done with. No point in riding back to revisit them. Hence the, “youre born again”. This song is like ecstasy to me. I have so many demons in my closet and mistakes I’ve made that I think about every minute of every day. But for the duration of this song, I forgive myself.
