I don't think there is any other female vocalist who can put so much emotion into a beautiful song. Kate uses her vocal ability so cleverly...and overlap on the 2nd chorus just reduces me to tears. It just portrays the deep ocean that is a woman's heart. Absolutely gorgeous song.

My mother passed away on Wednesday May 10 2023 at the age of 84 and the first movie I saw after her passing was The Mother. At the end, I heard this hauntingly beautiful song which felt as if it was written exactly for this very sad point in my life. Living overseas, I hadn't been able to see her in over 3 years and could not be there at the end!
