Kate Bush | This Womans Work | 1989 | Music Video 4K

In honour of Kate Bush’s birthday, I present my favourite song and video of hers, 1989’s This Woman’s Work, from her immaculate sixth album, The Sensual World. The song was originally written for the John Hughes rom-com, She’s Having a Baby, but was reworked for the album. It has since gone on to feature in TV shows such as Extras and The Handmade’s Tale. The music video, starring Blackadder’s Tim McInnerny, was directed by Bush herself.

It’d be great if the song one day receives a similar resurgence amongst modern listeners to that of Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God), a result of its use in Netflix’s show Stranger Things.
