Harvesting Watermelon FL/GA

My husband took me to Florida for my first time picking watermelon which is a family tradition every summer. We went for 10 days where we picked thousands of watermelons daily. I only edited in bits and pieces of each day. I wanted to make sure that it was something that I would remember for a long time.
I admire all the hard work they do day in and day out, it takes a lot of strength and persistence but I wanted to prove to myself that I could to it especially after all that my body has endured. I didn't want to show the bad and the hard times, I wanted to make this fun for you guys. So enjoy and let me know what you think!

Seeds won't kill you. Plus I have been told the ones with seeds have a better flavor. I only grow seeded melons. So much better flavor than the seedless ones from the store.

I used to pick watermelons in Williston, FL when I was in high school in the 80s; most labor intensive work I ever did

I recently got some seeds and I’m gonna plant some for the first time and I’m gonna grow about 4 plant because of the amount of space they require. I’ve done my reading and I think I’m ready. I’m so exited!

Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that. And I did not expect it to break so easily when you kicked it! lol. XD I love watermelons so much. I would love to help with something like this. Were there a lot of bugs at all? :P I'm a wimp when it comes to bugs.

;; after hearing that comment about watermelons with seeds not being good for you I can't even finish watching the video. Do you know the seeds of the fruit and vegetable container amount of nutrients and antioxidants and minerals. I dont know who told you that. But eating sterile or genetically engineered foods is not good for you at

You haven’t worked hard enough in watermelons if you want to eat one at the end of the day. We normally pull in August when heat index is right around 110. Southern Alabama.

You destroying a perfectly good watermelon in the field by stomping on it is morally wrong. A watermelon that has that shape may not have commercial value for selling to a grocer but it could feed a family. Give it away for free and someone or someone's family will enjoy it.

the only reason they have no seeds when round is because they are not ripe. i like my watermelons long.

This makes no sense to me. The seeded ones are the best ones. You spit the seeds out. It’s still or you can actually eat the black seeds because they’re full of nutrients. I never buy seedless watermelons anymore. GMO 🤢

Respect food what you did is not good, watermelon seeds are good for your health if you didn't know.
