Snap-on is in the process of coming out with a repair kit for the new 100 tooth ratchets. It's really noticeable when you have the original 100 tooth and then you buy the latest soft grip long 3/8 ratchet. The long handle is ultra smooth.

I felt the same when I bought my 100 tooth. I will say that it feels smoother with a socket on it

I used a digital Torque wrench a bit at the last job but I’d never ever let go of my split beams or my Micrometer clickers. CDI or Precision, 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 for the win. I will say the Digital is nice for setting clutches on machinery as you can adjust them check and it’ll record the break away when it engages
As far as the ratchet handle texture, the Icon comfort grips always feel hard and plasticy compared to my FH80 which is nice and soft. When your hands start to ache at the end of the day, the rubber is somehow soothing.

Those 100 tooth ratchets are junk. Stick with the dual 80 ratchets. Terrible back drag. They have revised the mechanism design multiple times. The 1st debut of those ratchet’s you could push the directional switch and the ratchet would just spin. Snap On did a terrible job rolling the 100 tooth ratchet out, and many snap on dealers are having a hard time selling them. They are not smooth as you encountered. I would assume as they wear in they may become smoother, but the 80 tooth is a much better design, and feel.

I wish they'd make a pearlescent blue hard handle again, I'd get a 1/2" drive flex head in that color if they did again.

Them little pliers are sweet Mr Clay, the set is reasonable. As for Ratchets, they’ll never out do the Dual 80. Cornwell’s 120 tooth is super sweet, Matco’s 88 is very very nice and I own several but My Dual 80s are my bread and butter.

I have the 1/2 techangle and I freaking love it. The one that goes to 300 ft lbs.Expensive as heck but it was well worth it. I got it for a steal of a deal brand new!

I just bought the 3/8 torque angle wrench and a 4oz ball peen hammer (for gasket making) today. Im glad you got a snap on dealer again. Ive been out of the business for so long but l still dabble on my own stuff.... so I still buy a lot of tools.... Ive bought a ton on your recommendation. Also I have been buying VIM since the mid 90s .... love their and Astro tools....

I keep hoping for more of the reversed colors handles. Not interested in the 100t either.

Seeing videos like this make me wanna go on the snap on truck but the one I have in my area doesn't even try to hand out the flyers as well introduce himself and is just entitled and I've come to the realization why they get the rep they do because in my experience I'm not wasting my time or money on someone that doesn't even try to visit but once a month
