Nikki knows full well that if she dropped out of the presidential race, then all the millions of dollars she receives each month by way of campaign contributions would suddenly screech to a grinding halt. A career politician like her cannot allow such a thing to happen because she is now addicted to the wealth aspect of receiving check after check after check by corporations, individuals and special interest groups.

All that loot goes straight into Nikki's bank account where she will never have to account for it or how she has spent the money or how she plans to spend it in the future. She can take all that loot and buy her herself luxury cars, beautiful home, expensive jewelry, vacations, designer clothes, etc.

If she dropped out now, the gravy train ends for her. She knows she could never be elected as president but that doesn't stop her of wanting to gobble up all these millions of free dollars she has been generously receiving by staying in the race. She will stay in the race until the end, for as long as she can possibly get away with it before her supporters suddenly realize she is going nowhere in politics and the whole thing has been an act by her to get even richer.
