Thanks again folks for tuning in! Kry got cut off in the video with her following question: "Does this mean that I can use Navigate on Autopilot and it should perform similar to FSD highway ?". If you have any insight on this, please let us know. I would think that in theory and with time they can disable city streets and just give NoA similar behaviour to FSD to those that have the limited package. This could potentially increase customer take and subscription rates! Let us know your thoughts!

Thanks. Enjoyed wife's comments. Also liked seeing the spontaneous and smooth lane changes by FSD.

Discussion: Changing lanes when a vehicle is converging from the rear? Car FSD estimates convergence speed by stereo vision to accuracy of about 1 percent. Human estimates convergence speed by image size changes with a few glances in side mirrors to accuracy of about 50 percent. It's no contest. FSD makes much safer lane changes. And FSD knows much more accurately how much to increase the speed to make it even safer.

Nice and surprisingdouble lane change getting onto the 401E express lanes! I wonder, if it was busier, if Marsha would have resigned herself, without fuss, to staying in the collector lanes until the next opportunity to change to the express lanes. In that same vein, it would be awesome if FSD learned to pick either express or collector lanes dependent on traffic flow. Good question re: who's "fault", Kry. Such maneuvers can be hugely challenging for humans and often requires aggressiveness to account for others tunnel vision. Also, there is the human learning curve for reliable success with many scenarios of metro-area-type driving like the discussed exit. And, sometimes highway/roadway engineering is not driver-friendly. I can't see FSD or any other autonomous software driving human enough to overcome such challenges driving amongst human drivers. I think that all, or certainly the majority, of vehicles are going to have high levels of autonomy, with learned "courtesy", for success in such scenarios.

I just love your videos, particularly because I live in Ontario(Toronto to be specific) too . Thanks for posting ! Keep them videos coming. Also, I would love to see a long road trip, probably from Toronto to Montreal? Maybe?

Quick question though, what is the average cost you spend in charging at the Tesla Supercharger, like charging from 20% to 100% etc? Also, how long does it take to charge from 20% to 100% at a Supercharger. This information would be super helpful given that I would be buying my Tesla soon! And I'm trying to gather as much information as I can to make the most inform decision possible. Thanks in advance!

I feel that the choice for the car to slow down to complete maneuvers safely is missing. I just watched another channel where a car was on the right as the Tesla was merging onto the highway and needed to get left before the merge lane became the right turn lane. A human would have slowed down to let the blocking car get past and then squeeze in behind it as other cars made room (hopefully). Instead the car abandoned the move onto the highway and made the next right, and had to reroute which was very inconvenient.

I mention this because in your video when you were in the right lane and passing the 3 or 4 semis and your wife mentioned the car would have to get right soon, the car chose to maintain speed and decided to insert itself in between 2 of the semis at high speed. That was not comfortable to watch, never mind being in the middle of. A human (hopefully) would have slowed down and tucked in behind the last semi in line, even though it was early to move right, because it was fairly evident to a human that it was the safest move in a fast developing multiple lane change situation in heavy traffic with large vehicles.

Good luck with the channel.

What I notice that you kept changing the speed so towards the end on the highway you had the max speed set lower so it didn't have the authority to go fast enough to make the necessary manners I noticed that you kept changing the max speed just mine interpretation the max speed isn't like that the car will go that speed all the time think about it as what it could use if it needs to use it. Does that make sense?
