How would I remove a material by name if I had many materials on there? which does remove the material in question, but a slot is still there. How do I remove that slot and the material?

Hello, please how to add into Principled BSDF / Base Color an Image texture which is not stored on local drive, but is created in UV editor? I am still struggling with that (I am able to load it from folder, but nor directly from blender list)
