I debated a cardiologist on cholesterol *MUST WATCH*

Here is the highlight of my debate on cholesterol with Dr. Alo...

Dr. Alo and I discussed whether LDL causes atherosclerosis or not...

If you do not have insulin resistance, there is no correlation between LDL and cardiovascular disease...

I believe that metabolic health, like insulin sensitivity, is a much better indicator of cardiovascular health...

In this video, I share many research studies showing that oxidized LDL and insulin resistance may be the cause of cardiovascular disease...

Based on what I have learned from the literature, seed oils are the biggest driver of insulin resistance and oxidized LDL...

Focusing on metabolic health and avoiding seed oils are the biggest levers you can pull for longevity...

An animal-based diet of meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy is the key to longevity and metabolic health!

Dr. Saladino, huge respect to your level of intellect, sharpness, realness, and your pursuit of truth. You’re not gimmicky or trendy. You’re an inspiration.

What i have learnt over the past 5 years listening to hundreds of podcasts with all these health gurus experts is that no one really knows anything….

The difference between someone who trusted everything they learned in school and didn’t research it past that. And someone who asks why.

I’ve been doing carnivore five years now, lupus, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis are completely gone and I was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease and has been reversing it very slowly, but surely

As a cardiologist, I wholeheartedly agree with Paul. My channel consistently emphasizes that LDL is not the primary enemy; instead, insulin resistance is the main culprit behind the epidemic of cardiovascular events.

Paul is 100% correct but guest doc is overwhelmed with the new insight therefore stuck in his trained comfy zone standard of care bias unfortunately.

I'm no academic, but even I can read between the lines with the logic the the cardiologist uses. The cause of atherosclerosis is literally right in front of him but he still focuses on the LDL as an absolute. He even admits that there's a chain of events and causes but still the focus is on just the LDL

Doctor Saladino: Here's study after study that proves my point without a doubt.
Traditional Doctor: 'Trust me bro'

my takeaway: it's hilarious that when half the country is obese and dying of heart attacks, we are focusing on weakly correlated markers like LDL.

I'm a Physician Assistant with a undergraduate degree in Biochemistry.
I am amazed at how the tables have completely turned in regards to nutrition, fasting, CVD, and pharmacology.
Dr. Saladino discussed multiple studies contradicting mainstream medicine that Dr. Alo was taught.
What is also very interesting (and sad) is the lack of exceptance Dr. Alo has to this new information.

This is the debate I have been craving. I have been so confused about all this, but this video offers some great insights. I applaud the cardiologist for participating. He also just wants to help people, and instead of just resting on his background, is willing to engage. We need more of this, so the picture can become clearer. Usually, we just get each side making their case in a vacuum. I would love to see all the main players engage with one another. The subject matter is too important not to do so.

He's basically saying well pretty much everyone is metabolically unhealthy so we can use that as a baseline so LDL is bad! That's the state of the health of the nation/world. Unbelievable

The wood analogy is great. I think this is one of the best arguments for cause and effect. Paul is correct, fix the spark, unfortunately fixing the spark is too difficult for most and probably against most people’s lifestyles. Funny thing is I have had the discussion with my cardiologist and his response was most people don’t care to understand the base of their issues and just want a pill to make it go away.

Dr Saladino's knowledge, breakdown of the studies and explanation of science is SAVAGE. I haven't seen one interview where he doesn't dominate...and I bet money this cardiologist will miss sleep tonight wondering if Paul is right and he is wrong. Dr Saladino is changing the world.

As a board-certified cardiologist, who respects physiology and bio chemistry, I 100% agree with Dr. Saladino. Atherosclerosis is primarily caused by inflammation and as a matter of fact, the main components of plaques are inflammatory cells. And inflammation is directly related to insulin resistance. From vascular biology standpoint patients with diabetes have highest levels of inflammation in their blood vessels, including coronary arteries. this is a very well-known phenomenon in cardiology world. That is why in cardiology diabetes is known as cornary artery disease equivalent. Now if you combine insulin resistance and inflammation with the process of atheroma and atherosclerosis formation, we then arrive at the conclusion that LDL alone is not the main culprit for coronary artery disease, formation, and progression.

Already listened and watched this podcast and it was amazing! Paul, I love that you are so passionate with your discoveries and that you share the data. I really tried to listen to both sides but you definitely stole the show. He just seemed confused. Thank you for all your hard work.

On your diet over a year. Zero complaints! You’re the best Paul, keep pushing.

Really really well argued. I don't know how mainstream medicine is still arguing with the same old studies that are horribly misleading and flawed. Well done!!

I’m trying to get my mom to watch this who has high LDL but her diet is of bread, chicken, and ice cream (not raw). She’s terrified of burgers and raw dairy but hoping this video with shed light on her fears being driven by medical profession’s vested interest in wealth over health. Please send prayers she opens her eyes to the truth ❤
