I searched it up and apparently “a hoki is a monstrous boar from Chinese folklore famous for terrorizing the countryside” I also found this on Wikipedia: “Fengxi (封狶), also known as Hoki or Houki, is a boar-like monster in Chinese mythology. He is said to have two heads and lives in Morus forests. Some accounts refer to it as the ancient rain deity” so maybe it has something to do with a rain god which maybe has something to do with how water is a devil fruit weakness

Between Vegapunk's half baked explanation and Zoro's character arc, I started to believe in my own head canon that when someone has an intense dream and works super hard to realize it, when they die, their dream/spirit takes physical form and inhabits a devil fruit. I think the endpoint of Zoro's character arc is that he dies, but conquers death when his dream/spirit becomes a devil fruit, enabling him to pass on his will as the King of Hell forever... maybe mythical hitohito no mi model: Asura

Fun fact- There is a worm called a Planarian worm that is studied today because of its insane regeneration. You can cut the head off of one, and you will then have two. Considering what happened with one of the Saints, well, I think the fun is only starting.

I've got a feeling V. Nusjuro has the whole "A master swordsmen can choose what he can cut/not cut" and is specifically only attacking the circuitry. Basically, he'll be able to slash someone's organs without leaving outward damage. Could be a cool fight with Zoro no doubt!

21:15 there was actually a chapter where we see v nusjuro's blade and it was plain white/metallish color whatever you prefer. This just means that v nusjuro can use some level of haki.

I was surprised that Venus’s hybrid form surprised you so much. Saturn has been in his hybrid form for most of his time on Egghead and only recently went full demon.

Aside from the facial differences, his eyes, ears, and posture… he clearly has arms in his hybrid form that turn into spider legs when he goes full demon.

One other thing I expected every reactor to note (and many probably did but I haven’t seen it yet) is that the Luffy/Jupiter/Giants scene is a callback to Little Garden. Luffy was playing around on a brontosaurus-like dinosaur, got swallowed, and got saved by one of the giants decapitating the dinosaur, which allowed Luffy to pop back out, exactly like with the sand worm here, except now it’s both giants together :)

I remember over a decade ago (before Imus existence was revealed), I always assumed V Nusjuro was the alpha of the Gorosei. He's the only one who doesn't wear a formal clothing (aka suit), and the only one brandishing a sword. He is also the oldest looking, and the earliest hint that they could actually fight, thanks to the sword. He is also seemingly modelled after Emperor Hirohito of Japan, a fearsome leader in his own right - so it is only fitting that he has the most eerie devil fruit.
Ju Peter actually somewhat remind me of the Graboids from "Tremors". Though they (or the Shai Hulud from Dune) aren't exactly 'mythical zoans' as such since they are both pop culture figuers, and all of the others clearly are based on mythical creatures - so I am thinking that his Devil Fruit might be based off "The Mongolian Death Worm

16:22 the thing that makes the nika fruit so special is that it’s hybrid form is whatever the user imagines it to be❤ hence why Luffy has so many forms based on whatever his mind thinks of. Tank man for defense, snake man for speed, etc etc. gear 5 is just him having access to do whatever he chooses then
