I gotta be honest. He taught me how serious lukewarmness is, I'll be forever grateful for that. So I may be biased but I am at least thankful for his teaching if it was the only truthful one he did.

Dude, there is NOTHING in there that indicates Francis Chan is a doctrine hater. What an utterly ridiculous stretch. I'm not a fan of Chan. In fact, I am all but universally opposed to mega church (I believe Chan led a mega church at one point). I think mega church ends up being a set up for obfuscation and obscurity where men can hide greed, pride and covetousness behind church things.

By the way, if you think doctrinal accuracy is the be-all and end-all of Christian living and expression, you have a ton of growing up to do. Doctrinal soundness and accuracy is a necessity and I'll go even further and say that it's importance cannot be overstated. However, it is not the complete picture. There is a complementing factor in ministry that, if ignored, ends up undermining true ministry. It's called the fellowship of Christ's sufferings (Philippians 3). As a matter of fact, the fellowship of Christ's sufferings runs through the fabric of the entire NT. Here are just a few verses among myriads:

"I now rejoice in my sufferings for you ..." (Col 1) Where would the church be today if Paul stopped at doctrinal accuracy?
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Rev 12)
"Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory." (Eph 3)
"That I might know Him and the fellowship of His sufferings." (Phil 3)
"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. " (2 Tim 3)
"For to you it has been granted, on behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake." (Phil 3)
"and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." (Rom 8)

It is sad that sufferings of the saints has all but exited the preaching platform in American church today.

I see him as a very humble servant of the Lord.

I can somewhat relate to Francis, in that I see everyone else as so far ahead in their walk with Christ than I am, and that I'm really only "floundering around with Christ", hardly following Him, but rather making only the tiniest insignificant little awkward spurts of spiritual progress as I seem to be stumbling around, sometimes in circles hardly going anywhere and doing next to nothing for the Kingdom.

First time coming across your channel. I get the sense that you’re bias towards Chan, that’s fine, it’s your channel. I’m not a Chan follower, but you make assertions that are a stretch at best. I hear someone who feels like a fish out of water in the presence of the others. Some who is being vulnerable in front of an audience. I think he's just answering the question honestly. To act like we're all able to think on there level is arrogance but we can understand it that's not evil those are human emotions and he was fighting it especially saying it on stage. I saw nothing

Christians criticizing Christians is ridiculous yet we have all done it at one point. Francis Chan is completely sold out to God 100%. Anyone that says Francis is a false teacher is clearly delusional within themselves.

This is the Man that claimed he is "fully man and fully God." That's enough to disqualify him as teaching the Truth of the Gospel but does qualify him as a False Teacher.

I used to listen to pastors like this who were all about themselves, their feelings, and their experiences. He’s trying to portray humility but is all focused on himself, which is not humility

I’m not familiar with Francis as I get a gut feeling about him when I listen. If he ran a mega church, why is he so intimidated? Seems odd to me. How can one run a mega church and then say you don’t know as much. Glad I never attended his church!
