As I type this, it's nap time so the girls are in bed but Cupcake is cuddled right up next to me on a blanket on the couch. She knows her opportunities to cuddle and takes them! Anyone else's pet like that?

My biggest issue w so many of these palettes... why do companies think we need a huge highlighter and small bronzer? Anybody regularly hitting pan on highlighters? I need the large pan to be the bronzer and the small pan to be the highlighter!

I love anti hauls because they encourage us to be smart consumers and remember that we don’t need to buy everything. I don’t need any makeup but the Tarte blush stacks look gorgeous! And honestly the extra spicy is calling to me 😍

I've gotten to the point where if there's a 9 pan eyeshadow and there's at least one eyeshadow I know I will not use, I will not buy the eyeshadows. The same is true for highlighters, blushes and lipsticks. I've gotten away from gift sets and I've started buying singles. Going on to Make Up Geeks website the other day and being able to build my own palette seems to be more my speed these days. They have a green called Dirty Martini that is absolutely stunning to me. The look may not be new but I like a bronzer in the crease, a matte chocolate brown on the movable lid and a turquoise blue on the bottom lash line. Just a one horse Rodeo here folks. What I admire about the Smashbox set is that they seem to be the ONLY company that put something together for those of us who are cool-toned. No matter the number of releases every season, we are bombarded with warm tones.

Anyone else not so impressed with the Holiday Releases this year & last year? In 2017 I couldn't decide what I absolutely needed so much called to me, and last year there was really nothing I was like YES, I need that... I am feeling the same way this year.... In 2017 Becca's Apres Ski pallettes were awesome, there seems to be nothing like that coming out from any company.
